Connie Sloane, Artist

Connie Sloane of Georgia, is a self-taught artist that discovered a new dimension of her creative talents during the Pandemic at the golden age of 62!  Uncertain as to when she would resume her position as a Yoga Instructor for Baby Boomers, she purchased some art supplies to do mindless painting to occupy her time.  She found it to be very therapeutic and relaxing which gave her a sense of peace, despite the world’s current events.  She painted daily and within two months, had 50 of her paintings hanging on the walls of her apartment!

With encouragement from family and friends, she sold some of her paintings which inspired her to continue to explore different art styles.  The use of different art mediums, random tools and techniques, allowed her to combine various art styles branding her art as Eclectic.

Creating art that serves a purpose other than wall decor is one of her primary goals in creating one of a kind pieces.  Additionally, she enjoys using resin in her art such as geode inspired pieces and orgonite crystal pyramids.  She also enjoys painting and transforming furniture pieces into beautiful and functional works of art.

As her own authentic art style continues to evolve, she relies on her inner guidance to create art that is an expression of what captures her attention and stirs her soul!

Connie believes that deep within our spirit, many gifts and talents lie dormant until they are awakened and expressed in some form, but it requires us to pay attention.  Doing so can lead to the discovery of a whole new and exciting dimension of ourselves.  She hopes her art brings as much joy to others as it does her as she is creating it!
